Why I hate farmtown and farmville
70Games on Facebook
I am not a huge fan of Facebook but it does have some useful features. I can stay in touch with people easily and it can also a good place to promote your websites/business.
What I am not a fan of however, are all of the mindless applications that some people seem to love. It is easier for me to just all of those stupid "gift" and "buy me a drink" requests.
My sister just got into Farmville and she begged me to join and become her "neighbor" to help her out. The problem is that I now get even more requests from my other friends who are also playing Farmville.
I have heard it is addictive, but there doesn't seem to be much skill at all to the game. When I look at my friends' computers who should be working all I see is the farmville page open.
The stream of my friends' updates in Facebook used to be interesting, comments, links and photos, but that has just been replaced with irrelevant Farmville messages, like "someone just lost a cow on their farm".
Bulgarian politician sacked for playing Farmville
Bulgarian politician Dimitar Kerin was voted off a council committee for playing Farmville, during budget meetings.
The proposal to remove Kerin from his respective municipal committee came from Todor Hristov, a former member of Kerin's party, who has argued that Kerin "needs more time for his virtual farm." Thus, Kerin was removed from his committee with 20 votes in favor and 19 votes against; as a result, he has lost the additional pay he received as a member of a municipal committee.

me too. I never heard of it and now I am glad.
My niece in England keeps trying to get me in to the yoville thing on Face Book taking a pass for now
These Facebook games are extremely addictive, but I honestly don't know why. I think the Farmtown layout tends to feed the OCD in all of us. So, I'm wishy washy: I hate that I seem to love it!
I agree, the game is pointless and most tasks are very mundane. It's like having a boring, unpaid job. I also checked out Yoville. It's the same thing...shopping, moving stuff around your apartment, now in a videogame!!
I can't help myself, always have been competitive in games. I originally started farmville for my 8 year old daughter but I seem to have taken over. It is a mindless game but once I started I just had to get to the next level before everyone else. (I have to confess I am the sister mentioned in the article, lol) Time for me to go and harvest my crops.....
I HATE farmville. It's so pointlessly stupid and everyone posts the crap to their walls so it shows up on my homepage. NOBODY CARES IF YOU FOUND A ****ING COW!!!
If you want to play a game, for god's sake play something with a real graphics engine... World of Warcraft, Halo, Lego Island heck who cares just make it a decent game. You're going to go chasing stupid cows around? You are correct it junks up people's pages, is completely stupid, and seems to be played by sissy boys and the stay at home mom types more than anyone. It all makes me want to vomit. Farmville is nausiating. It and all the other facebook craplets get blocked by me as soon as they show up in my feed. I am starting to hate facebook anyhow... screw them for facilitating that crap in the first place....
Although I love Farmville, I 'hate' spamming not playing friends with all those messages. Love to visit my farm during coffee break, just for fun. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, of course. However, I totally agree with all the messages, they should only be visible (because applicable) to Farmville neighbours.
I love farmville its so much fun but you have to watch out so your crops dont die!
The biggest bummer about Farmville or Mafia Vampire Cafe Bowling (whatever) is while I can entertain myself for hours, I get little in return. Well... I get spam from Farmville advertisers, but it would be wonderful to actually be rewarded for being the best Mob Farm Vampire Slayer person. IMO.
I have to say what you have posted is what I believe in also. I have been using facebook for awhile now, i have loved many things but the games on the other hand have become very annoying and most of all boring to death.
Maybe they will come out with something fun!!!:) YEAH RIGHT

Hey! Have any of you guys checked out the new game that is about to be on Facebook? The A Game? You can actually WIN prizes. At least we'll be wasting our time for an incentive lol.
Farmville is mindless computerized opium for the terminally stupid. I know someone who plays this game non stop for more than 16 hours a day, practically every waking hour. Does not even leave the house to shop.
this is really making me mad I've tried to register to ask a question in the forum and it keeps saying I can't register...........So maybe someone else can answer my question.............why can't I put anything on the new grass layout
i dont like farmville because u always have problems loading then your crops wither and your dog runs away the game would be fine if it did not make u so fed up losing things and have to pay fv to get them back get your game sorted and then it would be fun

I have never heard of Farmville, but just joined Facebook and don't like it much with all the pokes, and icons and such. Will stay because it can be useful down the road as far as writing and business is concerned, and do have a few friends I enjoy. Thanks for the heads up on Farmville, LOL, will stay out.
