Heath Ledger dead

Heath Ledger has died from a possible overdose. He was found in his SoHo apartment by his housekeeper and his masseuse.

"He was down to earth, generous, kind hearted, life loving unselfish individual extremely inspirational to many," his parents told reporters.

Heath was famous for his roles in The Patriot, Monster's Ball, and Brokeback Mountain, and had just completed the role of The Joker in the forthcoming The Dark Knight.

He was born in Perth, Australia and left school when he was 16 to start a career in acting.

Ledger was engaged to actress Michelle Williams and they had a daughter Matilda Rose who was born on October 28, 2005 in New York City. The couple separated in August 2007.
