Cydia is a software application for Apple's iPhone that allows people to use applications on their 'jailbroken" iPhone or iPod touch. A jailbroken iPhone is a phone that has Cydia installed on it and allows people to download many applications that were previously unavailable from the official Apple store.
Many of the applications are free and some you have to buy. Another reason why people jailbreak their phones is because of the great themeing options available. Winterboard allows you to change the icons of application, use a custom wallpaper and even modify th status bar. WinterBoard is the modern replacement for SummerBoard. With WinterBoard you can have as many themes as you like installed.

i cant find that bleach one in cydia,has it changed names?
@GAWjr - The themes use up very little memory, one of my favorite apps from cidia is "categories" which allows you to make folder apps that you can put other apps in, like a games folder for all your games so they dont take up so much space. Cydia is free (open source) just make sure you have firmware version 3.1.2 on your ipod. I'm using an 8gb ipod touch 2nd gen... You use Blackra1n to jailbreak and install cydia...

Looks cool. How much memory does it use up? And, what is your favorite application, that you wouldn't have normally?
How much does Cydia cost to install?
